With over six decades of metal finishing expertise, IMP serves as a single source for your distinct aluminum anodizing needs. We specialize in MIL-A-8625 Type II and Type III Class 1 & 2 sulfuric anodizing of various parts manufactured from different aluminum alloys. Our modern 50,000 square-foot facility is equipped with two modern anodizing lines, with sizes up to 10' x 4' x 16", to efficiently handle your high volume finishing jobs.
Your anodized parts will have increased protection from corrosion, better wear resistance, excellent dyeing ability, and will no longer be conductive to electricity. Depending on your specific application requirements, we can form oxide coatings on aluminum alloys in thicknesses up to 2.0 mil.
IMP makes use of a range of specialized dyes to finish anodized aluminum parts in distinct colors. When the desired color is achieved, the part is tightly sealed in a nickel acetate bath. At the end of our anodizing process, aluminum parts are formed with brilliant, permanent color finishes. If you are an OEM manufacturer of automotive, military, or medical parts, consider using our customized anodizing services to either finish or pretreat your aluminum components.
In the past, we have anodized a range of internal military components and shell assemblies. Using our quality inspection station, we test the anodized aluminum parts for corrosion resistance, according to ASTM standards. Our anodized parts can resist salt spray test for over 336 hours. As an environment-conscious job shop, Industrial Metal Plating Inc.'s chemists maintain tight tolerance controls on waste streams and process baths, while ensuring high quality in anodic coatings./Asset/CUSTOM-ALUMINUM-ANODIZING.jpg
We offer chromate conversion or chemical film coating services for corrosion protection of aluminum components. In addition to providing corrosion resistance, our chromating services also provide a good base for paint as well as other applications that require adhesion. Ideal for applications that warrant an electrically conductive coating, our chemical film coating is offered in a range of different colors - from clear to gold iridescent.
Our chromating services comply with the chemical film Mil-C-5541, Mil-spec standards, and can withstand an ASTM standard salt spray test for 168 hours. Equipped with automated plating systems, we can handle high volume production runs with ease. All chromate-converted parts undergo extensive quality inspections to ensure conformance with your requisite standards. Our plating facility is also compliant with all state and federal guidelines for maintaining air as well as water quality standards./Asset/CHROMATE-CONVERSION.jpg
Our laser engraving service is the ideal choice for all your engraving needs - for enhancing visual appeal or engraving components with necessary markings, such as your company logo or measurement markings on industrial gauges or etc. These services can be used for engraving different materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, wood, plastics, glass, fabric, leather, paper, rubber & stone. We can assure accurate and precise handling of all types of engraving projects with our high-speed fiber and CO2 laser systems. Our Fiber and CO2 Lasers give you unsurpassed beam quality as well as the highest detail image quality. Continuous efforts are being made to update decorating techniques, to provide customers with a wider a range of options./Asset/LASER-ENGRAVING2.jpg

Our chemical brite dip services enhance the brightness of aluminum components and improve their visual appeal. We have extensive experience in working with a wide range of aluminum alloys.
This service is also provided as a brightening operation prior to anodizing. Our bright dip services, which employ phosphoric and nitric acid, will chemically polished the aluminum surface, making it more reflective. This type of chemical brightening operation is particularly ideal for certain alloys such as 6063, 6463, 5557, 5457, and 5357 series aluminum alloys.
Our facility is equipped with automated anodizing and treatment equipment that allows us to handle high volume as well as prototype production runs with ease. In addition, our facility is compliant with the necessary federal and state guidelines required for maintaining water quality standards. In the past, our services have been employed for applications in flashlights, racecar parts, medical parts, biking, and motor cross components./Asset/BRIGHT-DIP.jpg
Industrial Metal Plating Inc. specializes in applying multi-color digital images to anodized aluminum part surfaces. PERMODIZE® is an innovative, patented technology that allows an anodized coating to be impregnated with any high quality digital images. Through PERMODIZE®, we impregnate photo quality images into the unsealed, porous layer of the anodized part.
PERMODIZE® enhances the aesthetic appearance of your anodized aluminum parts, without affecting the durability of the metal oxide coating. Depending on your specific finishing requirements, our expert staff will apply digital images to anodized parts with planar or 3-dimensional shapes. Unlike multi-step silk screening or other coloring processes, the PERMODIZE® technology allows us to apply digital images on aluminum parts in one step. The process also yields a clear and permanent finish on anodized aluminum parts impregnated with vivid images of highest resolutions.
After anodizing, PERMODIZE® embeds a high definition digital image within the anodized coating. PERMODIZE® parts are then sealed to protect the digital images impregnated within the clear anodic film from harsh environmental factors. Our PERMODIZE® parts conform to the traditional Mil-A-8625 Type II and III Class II./Asset/PERMODIZE---PING-GOLF-PUTTER-.jpg
